The Salt Lake Zen Group welcomes all who wish to explore the path of self-discovery and awakening in a mutually supportive environment. We offer a regular schedule of meditation and talks, open to the public free of charge (donations gratefully accepted). Beginners, visitors and experienced practitioners of any religious or non-religious background are invited to participate at all events.

The regular weekly schedule includes Sunday morning talks and morning meditation Monday through Thursday. The Group is maintained by Mark Esterman and Mary Ellen Sloan, senior students of Dennis Genpo Merzel Roshi, founder of Kanzeon International Sangha and the Big Mind process (www.bigmind.org) .
